Okemo Mountain Resort

Home to 121 trails and 20 lifts, the Okemo Mountain Resort is a gem for winter sports enthusiasts in Vermont! Okemo sits only 16 miles away from the Cedarbrook at Killington Hotel, making it the perfect home base for skiers looking to get out on the slopes during their stay.

Hiking Trails in the Green Mountains 

In the summer and fall season, visitors to Vermont’s Green Mountains trade their ski gear for hiking boots! Take a stroll on nearby hiking trails to enjoy the gorgeous scenery that surrounds the area. Here are a few we recommend:  


  • Quechee Gorge Trail: Located in Quechee State Park, this is a 2.7-mile out-and-back style trail that offers gorgeous views 
  • The Appalachian Trail: Access to the Appalachian Trail can be found just outside of Killington. Make your own itinerary of the 2.190+ mile trail by deciding upon your own out-and-back style hike of the day along the legendary trail.   
  • Faulkner Trail: Situated in Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, Faulkner Trail is an out-and-back style trail that takes hikers to the summit of Mount Tom.  

Fall Foliage Killington, VT

Explore art galleries and antique stores that line the historic small town. Woodstock, VT also boasts a variety of historical sites of interest such as Middle Bridge, the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, and the Billings Farm & Museum. And if you are looking for a destination for relaxation, head to The Spa at the Woodstock Inn & Resort for a massage, facial, or manicure!  

Quechee, VT  

Also nestled in the Green Mountains, Quechee is another quintessential small town overflowing with charm. The Ottauquechee River flows right through town adding to the scenic beauty of the town. Nestled on the river, the Simon Pearce Glass Factory is a must-visit during any stop in to Quechee! The flagship store is the perfect place to shop the gorgeously crafted pieces and visitors can also dine at the romantic restaurant. Or stop at the bar for a quick drink!
